Western Application Deadline for Fall 2027 and What You'll Need

Western’s application deadline for Fall 2027 entry is January 15, 2027: apply on OUAC by then for guaranteed consideration. That isn’t the whole picture, though: some programs ask for more, and Ivey’s Advanced Entry Opportunity has an application of its own.

What every Western applicant sends

You apply to Western on OUAC. Western still accepts later applications but can’t guarantee space in your program. Admission scholarships are automatic on your admission average, and about half of Western’s programs ask for nothing beyond the application and your grades.

If illness, family matters or required work affected your grades, or major commitments outside school might leave your average just short, Western has optional profiles you can send to explain. Offers to Ontario high school students go out in rounds from December to May; the largest is usually around mid-May, and a late offer is no disadvantage.

What some programs add

Ivey AEO asks for two activity essays, a reference for every activity you list and a video interview; the Ivey AEO video interview shows what its questions look like. Engineering asks for the Casper test, explained in Casper for Western Engineering. Music has auditions or interviews, Studio Art a portfolio, SASAH a statement of interest, and WISc and Commercial Aviation Management supplementary forms.

Only one scholarship needs an application: the National Scholarship Program, which starts with a nomination from your school and is due February 14, 2027. The Western National Scholarship essay and interview covers it.

See every date for your program

That’s the shape of it. The exact dates depend on your program and where you finish high school, and some haven’t been published yet. AcceptMe’s free Application Planner has every one of them, for the programs you pick.
