McGill Application Deadline for Fall 2027 and What You'll Need

McGill’s application deadline for Fall 2027 entry depends on where you finish high school: January 15, 2027 from outside Canada (the US included), February 1, 2027 from a Canadian high school outside Quebec, and March 1, 2027 from a Quebec CEGEP. That isn’t the whole picture, though: grades, documents and some programs run on dates of their own.

What every McGill applicant sends

You apply to McGill on its own site, not through OUAC or EducationPlannerBC, and nearly every McGill date depends on where you’re applying from. Students at Canadian high schools outside Quebec self-report their Grade 11 and 12 marks: an optional first round can bring an early offer, and a second round is required if you haven’t heard by then. Supporting documents follow later.

Many McGill programs need only the application, your grades and your documents. Getting into McGill from the US and getting into McGill from India explain how McGill reads two very different school systems, and admission to UBC, McGill and U of T by country covers the rest.

What some programs add

Music wants an audition, a statement of intent and a resume, due on the same day wherever you apply from. Global Engineering and Population and Global Health ask for personal statements or essays, Nursing and several health programs need proof of French, and Social Work wants a written submission and references. Law, Medicine (Med-P) and Dentistry (DENT-P) are open only to applicants from Quebec.

Major Entrance Scholarships have a separate application in the Applicant Portal, with an activities list, an essay, a one-page self-reference and two letters of reference. Its deadline depends on where you apply from, too.

That’s the shape of it. The exact dates depend on your program and where you finish high school, and some haven’t been published yet. AcceptMe’s free Application Planner has every one of them, for the programs you pick.
