Youthfully vs MYLS vs Options Solutions vs AcceptMe (2026)
Searching for help with a competitive university application turns up the same few names: Youthfully, MYLS Interview, Options Solutions, and us. They are not the same kind of thing. Two sell a person by the hour, and two sell an AI coach by the month, at very different prices and with very different amounts in the box. This page lays them side by side on price, what you actually get, and who each is right for.
The four in one sentence each
- Youthfully (Calgary, formerly Admissions Ally): one-to-one virtual coaching in packages, covering the whole application, with an AI interview simulator bundled for clients. Pricing by consultation; reported to start around $1,500.
- MYLS Interview (Ontario, myls.ai): a self-serve AI mock video interview across 230 programs from job interviews to MMI, US$55 or US$135 a month, video only.
- Options Solutions (West Vancouver, since 2003): a traditional independent educational consultancy billed hourly, covering everything from career assessments to US and UK admissions, with a $225 group video-interview workshop.
- AcceptMe: an AI coach with three tools, a Story Bank, timed on-camera mock interviews and an essay coach, built for high school applicants to any program that asks for an interview, a timed written answer or an essay, C$49 a month with everything unlimited, cancel any time, free to start.

What you are actually paying for
The useful way to choose is to separate two things an application needs: judgement and reps.
Judgement is knowing which programs to apply to, whether your essay topic is a bad idea, how to sequence your Grade 11 courses, what a US school wants that a Canadian one does not. This is what Youthfully and Options Solutions are for. It is expensive because it takes an experienced person’s time, and for some families it is worth every dollar.
Reps are the other thing, and they are where interviews and timed written answers are won or lost. A Kira interview gives you one take. The skill is producing a specific, structured answer on camera under a countdown, and the research is consistent that it is built by practicing with an automated interviewer and reviewing feedback on your own recording, not by advice and not by unguided practice. Nobody, however good, can give you reps in a one-hour session. That is what AcceptMe is for, and it is why MYLS exists too.
Between the two rep tools, the differences are that AcceptMe is built only for university applicants, covers the written half of the application as well as the video, helps you build the stories before you test them, and costs C$49 a month in your own currency, less than MYLS charges for 40 credits and a quarter to a third of what it charges for unlimited. MYLS covers job interviews, MMI and IELTS, which AcceptMe does not.
What we cannot do, in our own words
Since this is our page: AcceptMe cannot assess your tone or body language, and it will not tell you which programs to apply to. A person can do both. What we will not do either is put words in your mouth; the essay coach comments and never rewrites, because a polished adult paragraph in a Grade 12 application is the first thing a reviewer notices. Everything else on this table follows from one belief, that reps beat advice, which the founder sets out in why we built AcceptMe.
Our recommendation
- If money is no object: Youthfully or Options Solutions for judgement, and AcceptMe for reps between sessions. Walk into every paid hour with answers already recorded and reviewed.
- If you want a person but cannot spend four figures: a single Options Solutions workshop or a couple of hours with any consultant for the school list and essay topics, then AcceptMe for everything that has to be practiced.
- If you are self-directed: AcceptMe alone. The free program guides cover the formats and deadlines, the Story Bank builds the answers, the interview tool drills them, and the essay coach marks up the drafts. Start with the free tier and see whether you need anything else.
- If you are a grad, med or job applicant: MYLS, or one of the consultants. AcceptMe is not for you.
The individual reviews
Each company on this page has its own review with the sourcing behind the numbers above: Youthfully, MYLS Interview and Options Solutions. Read the one for whoever you are about to pay, then run the free tier of AcceptMe for a week before the sales call.
These four are the names most families shortlist, but every city has its own consultants. We reviewed the established ones in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Hamilton, Kingston and Montreal, with their public prices, in admissions consultants in Canada by city.
