UVic Application Deadline for Fall 2027 and What You'll Need
UVic’s application deadline for most degree programs is January 31, 2027. That one date isn’t the whole picture, though: applying earlier gets you an earlier answer, and what else you send depends on your program and where you finish high school.
What every UVic applicant sends
You apply to UVic through EducationPlannerBC, the same account you’d use for UBC’s application. Most UVic programs ask for nothing beyond the application and your grades. If you apply and send your grades by early December, you can hear back within a few weeks; otherwise UVic asks for updated grades later.
How your grades get there depends on where you go to school. BC students order their transcript through StudentTranscripts Service when they apply, and students elsewhere in Canada self-report their Grade 11 and 12 marks, once, when UVic asks. Either way, that’s also how UVic considers you for automatic entrance scholarships.
What some programs add
A few programs want more. Theatre asks for a resume and a short essay, Visual Arts a portfolio and questionnaire, Child and Youth Care a resume and cover letter, and Music an application for an audition, references and the audition itself. Some programs keep taking applications after the deadline while seats last, but UVic says they can close without warning.
Scholarships are mostly automatic: Canadian students with a 90%+ average are considered without applying. Awards with other criteria have their own application, open between February 15 and April 30, 2027.
